It is always a pleasure to see my students develop their skills and deeper interest in music. I believe that everyone can perform starting with simple solo pieces of 2-5 minutes long. This experience is rewarding for self development and artistic growth. I remember always playing for my classmates in high school and enjoying it a lot. Making new friends and sharing music is part of being musician and playing musical instrument. I enjoy creativity and imagination in playing music, since every melody has its personality and character, it is like an improvisational storytelling with different narratives. When teaching, it is very important to feel comfortable and and to have proper posture. I always make sure that my students play freely without any tension. This is quite interesting topic and complex, so in a few words, before to start playing the instrument it is essential to know how your body and muscles work.  I took Alexander technique class at IU which helped me to realize the importance of proper approach to any instrument. Even small problems which seem irrelevant, can lead and develop injuries. I play with a shoulder and without it. It took a lot of time to understand how this works and I will be happy to share my experience with you.

Lessons with Vlad were extremely helpful and I received a good insight on how to practice and what changes I need to make in my playing to succeed. He helped me to correct my technique and I was able to overcome specific technical challenges which affected my playing before. In a few words, I feel that my practice changed and became much more efficient than before, I very much appreciate his support.
