Gospel Singing with Vivian L.

Vivian’s passion for music started when she was a little girl when her parents took her to see a professional theatre performance of “Annie” and she fell in love with singing. Also, her father introduced her to piano at a very early age and she continues to play piano almost daily. She has been part of several choir organizations from her elementary school days and continues today as a member of local arts organizations. After Vivian graduated from Temple University in 1994, she began auditioning and being cast in several community theatre shows such as Grease, Godspell, Crazy For You, Annie Get Your Gun, Music Man and several others. After moving to Florida in 2003, she gave birth to two boys and has been raising them full-time while pursuing her music dreams part-time. Vivian has performed solos in The Orlando Convention Center’s Linda Chapin Theater, Orlando’s Plaza Theater, at Give Kids the World, Northland Church, and several other smaller venues across the east coast of the USA. In addition to her solo work, Vivian has performed as a choir member at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, the 2016 Invictus Games ceremony at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex, the Bob Carr Theater in Orlando, and several other locations in the world. In the past 11 years, Vivian has performed in more than a dozen Epcot’s Candlelight Processional shows. In 2015, Vivian created, produced and directed a cabaret at the Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater in Orlando. Through the years, Vivian has had several vocal coaches including Sal Dupree, Wendy Martelli, Jonathan Cole, Rallia Westrick, Erin Boone, Katrina Rick, and is currently working with Elaine Pechacek. She hopes to combine the best of all voice instructors’ techniques to help each singer attain their singing goals in a safe and supportive environment.
