I believe that music is not only a gift but a vital part of the human experience. Whether as a listener, performer, or composer it influences our society as a whole and individually. At a very early age I was exposed to all the usual classic rock and pop music of the 50's, 60's, and 70's through my parents. Having a keen interest in how this music was created I started piano lessons at age 9, cello in middle school, and then guitar and bass shortly followed. During high school and college I performed and recorded with several bands, symphonic orchestras, vocal ensembles in genres ranging from rock, pop, funk, folk, jazz, classical, and electronica. I studied music theory and composition under Dr. Jerry Wallace at Richland Community College while continuing my private lessons in guitar, bass, cello, and piano. After college I moved to Santa Fe, NM to assist in managing Groovey Studios. I also performed and recorded with not only pop and rock artist but many Native American artist. I started teaching as well and found it to be a very rewarding learning experience. Eventually, I moved back to Dallas, TX advancing my career as a musician working with many local and national artist - OHNO, Chris Kirkpatrick (N'SYNC), Ray Brady (Guitarist for Ashlee Simpson), Bob Schneider, John Alagia (Produced Dave Matthews live shows), Dave Matthews, and The Strokes). With 20+ years of my own musical journey I've found there is different ways to shine as an artist. Performing, composing, and recording are all aspects of being a musician. Learning music can be fun you just have to find what motivates and inspires you. Let's find the artist in you. *** Lesson Details *** I like to know what my students short term and long term goals so I can mold the lessons to meet those goals. Of course there are fundamentals like knowing your instrument, reading music, scales, arpeggios, chords, etc. but learning to apply these fundamentals on any instrument can be fun. We will find suitable music that inspires you to learn and hopefully, expand your own musical tastes. If recording and composing interest you we can also explore those aspects as well. I look forward to meeting you and helping your musical journey. *** Studio Equipment *** Keyboard, Guitars *** Travel Equipment *** I provide my instrument and amp if needed- tab and/or staff paper for first few lessons. I expect them to provide their own instrument, pencil and music stand. *** Specialties *** *Teachers marked as a Student Favorite have taught a minimum of 25 lessons and have received the highest feedback rating from students. I've studied and taught classical, blues, acoustic, rock, pop, and ambient/electronica,

Great instructor! Vince is a great instructor! He really takes the time to break things down for the student. Vince makes sure to ask if the student understands everything before he moves on. He tries to match the students learning pace and push the student just the right amount to learn.
