Hi! I am a teacher, pianist, songwriter, and arranger. I spent the last two summers touring as the pianist for a Christian vocal group. I have recorded three separate albums both as pianist and vocalist. I am just entering my ninth year of teaching! I received my Bachelor's of Education in math and science. This had been my goal since I was 14. I have loved these subjects ever since I can remember, and teaching them always Was a dream of mine! Oddly enough, it was during my math and science studies that I really and truly fell in love with music. I have played the piano since I was 4 and can remember always singing in the car and around the house, but while in college, I was given countless opportunities to perform and improve my abilities. So, I decided to go back to school and finish my Masters of Music Education. Once finished with college, I took a job as a special education teacher. And I found yet another passion! I so enjoy teaching these special students! They are such a treat! My main focus with these students has been reading and math, but I have recently begun to give piano lessons to students who have been diagnosed with autism and Down's syndrome. This is possibly the most rewarding thing I have done! I have seen music become a lifeline to some of these students. A special skill that they can develop on their own at a pace they enjoy! Regardless of age or skill level, I look forward to meeting you and helping you to further your education!!
