    About Vanessa G.

Singing has always been my passion. The human voice is so complex that I was entranced with it at a very young age. Due to my exposure to Disney movies and Disney Channel, I began singing at 5 years old and would be involved in my school's talent shows! Once middle school began, I joined the chorus. Ever since the 7th grade, not one year has gone by where I haven't been in a choir. I continued my music education into my college years where I graduated with my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, by far one of my proudest accomplishments so far. Following my last year of college, I opened up my voice studio. There is an intangible feeling when teaching the voice, but a phenomenon that I believe to be mutual with those I teach. There are so many aspects of vocal pedagogy and performance practice that I look forward to sharing with you. Performing and teaching are my greatest passions in life, and I can't believe that I am lucky enough to be doing this for the rest of my life!

    Experience

    Voice Teacher

    Aug, 2019 - Present

    Home Studio

During the summer of my last year of college, I decided to begin advertising my new voice studio. Since then, I have had many students who ask for help in how to sing properly and with healthy technique. I take each lesson at the students' individual pace. I communicate constantly with my students and manage the time very well.

Church Choir Section Leader and Soloist

    Sep, 2018 - Present

    La Verne Heights Presbyterian Church

Since my third year of college, I have led the sopranos in all church services and Thursday night rehearsals. On top of that, I manage choir meetings, conduct the ensemble when the choral director is not present, lead in warm-ups, and perform solos once a month.

    Disneyland Performer

    Jun, 2017 - Present

    Walt Disney Company

During most days of the week, I am able to provide spectacular entertainment for families around the world. This job allows me to improvise and communicate effectively. Whenever possible, I am my own leader. The most important element of my job is making children believe that magic is certainly real!
