About Vanessa S.
I am a college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree and while in college I studied music performance & criminology at some of the most accomplished institutions of the Midwest, Missouri State University, in Springfield, Missouri as well as College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and have also received the President's Award from previous President Obama for Educational Excellence two years in a row, 2010 and 2011 in recognition of Outstanding Academic Excellence. Additionally, I have a 4.0 GPA out of 4.0. Furthermore, I am a very accomplished musician for my young age of 19, as I play principal flute in both the College of DuPage Chamber Orchestra as well as the DuPage Community Band. Lastly, I have been involved in the competitive music industry my whole life, and am very intelligent in many school subjects and can offer your child or teen a comfortable, fun, safe, constructive learning environment which can help your child improve their grades in school, or musically speaking, can help them improve their musical skills and knowledge no matter what the reasoning is behind you wanting your child to play music; whether it is because you, or your child, wants a career in the music industry, or if your child wants to learn a musical instrument for fun.
*** Lesson Details ***
I can teach many time frames of lessons ranging from 30 min lessons to 120 min lessons. Additionally, I would be willing to travel and teach from the student's home at a small additional fee for gas and travel expenses.
