I love to help students find a passion for the horn. If the student is starting the instrument, I hope to provide the right tips to create good practice habits. Once a student knows how to practice without a teacher, that is when improvement has no boundaries. It is then that we can focus on building the right techniques so that musicality can come out uninhibited. I also love to spread that excited smile that can come from nowhere else than swing dancing. I teach Lindy Hop, Charleston, East Coast, and Collegiate Shag. With just a little enthusiasm to learn, inspiration can be pulled from everywhere. Even though the eyes may be on the moves, I emphasize that form, connection, and direction are the foundation of it all. But my ultimate goal is to free people up to have fun though listening to the music and improvising with another person.
