Affectionately known as “Vivacious V” Valeka J Holt is a critically acclaimed artist! She’s a professor at Georgia College where she teaches acting, content creation and solo show writing. A recent ATL transplant from DC, Valeka has quickly become an ATL favorite. She’s a member of the acting and playwright company at Working Title Playwrights, screened her award-winning film at Screening Room ATL, and has participated in workshops and readings at True Colors, Alliance and Horizon Theatre Companies!
DC credits include: Nina in “Sunset Baby." Broadway world states: "Valeka J. Holt is astonishing. I predict a great future is ahead of her. One gets to see her transformation from the hardened criminal to that of a young woman who has just lost her mother, when she strips herself from her make-up, wig, and clothes into a bathrobe, sits on her couch, covers herself in a wrap which was covering the couch and weeps. It's a powerful moment."
Penny in “Father Comes Home from the Wars” at Roundhouse Theatre. The Washington Post’s states “Early receives stalwart support from an ensemble that includes, most notably, Valeka J. Holt as Penny, who, like Odysseus’s Penelope, perseveres valiantly while her man is away. DCist states, “Holt is so emotionally invested in her character that by play’s end you feel that you might be watching a very real moment of personal unraveling. A dead ringer for Orange is the New Black’s Uzo Aduba in artistic skill, Holt is a pleasure to watch.
Other praised performances include her work as Ruth in The Tony Award Winning Arena Stage’s production of “A Raisin in the Sun."

Valeka is an excellent teacher! Her encouraging words and energetic attitude encouraged me to dig deep, step outside my comfort zone and go big. Her great acting advice helped me tremendously prepare for a role I had in a play. She helped me with confidence and understanding each scene. I received many great reviews after the show and I am thankful to Valeka for this.Show More
I don't normally write reviews for services, but a class with Valeka is worth a review! I opted for an online coaching medium because of my schedule, and Valeka was very professional, warm, responsive and very prompt. She takes the time to understand how she can help you be your best! That level of attention to detail was so important to me, since I was new to this medium.

Finding an Acting Coach in Los Angeles is a daunting and overwhelming process. For me, I set out to find someone who's approach resonated with me as well as pushed and challenged me, helping me deepen my craft and boost my self-confidence. I needed to find a coach with whom I could form a relationship, who could provide an environment where I felt comfortable to receive feedback, to allow myself to be vulnerable and to take risks. I wanted a coach who could facilitate growth and help take my career to the next level. And, of course, I wanted to find someone who is qualified and knows what they are doing. Valeka was recommended through a fellow actor, and it was the best referral ever! Her knowledge is incredible and she is always willing to help. Since working with Valeka, I have been constantly going on auditions and FINALLY getting called back. I can't recommend Valeka enough, and if my word is not enough, reach out to her. You won't be sorry!Show More
