I am a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, as well as a TEFL certification. I have taught students as young as six and all the way up to senior citizens. I have experience in a classroom setting, as well as one on one. I am extremely patient with my students, while also being a great motivator for those tough days. I am happy to custom fit my teaching style to fit each student's needs. Willing to travel, Skype, or meet in my home. Can easily provide homework assignments for in-between each lesson, as well as intermittent exams to gauge progress (if desired). Looking forward to working with you!

Val worked for me for two years, tutoring my youngest son, who was in kindergarten at the time I hired her. Initially I asked Val to concentrate in writing, math and reading comprehension. She took his reading level from beginning kindergarten level (which was behind most in his class) and by the time she left after two years, my son was a second grader reading at a high third grade level. He also improved his writing and math skills significantly.

A few months into hiring her, Val recommended a Phonics program, which had a huge impact on my sons reading speed and pronunciation of new words.
