Piano with John W.

Hi! My name is John. I have spent my life with the guitar, bass guitar, and the piano. Both my father and grandfather are professional musicians. I am a graduate of USF with a music degree. I regularly perform in the Tampa Bay area at some of the hottest clubs and venues with my band Cutty Jones. I teach a wide variety of styles from, blues, reggae, jazz, rock, country, and rhythm and blues. I've been teaching for over 10 years at various studios. I look forward to working with you! Here's a look into lessons with me: I make sure to ask each student what/who their favorite songs/artists are. I think it's very important that the songs we learn - you're familiar with. I also like to focus on theory and make it relevant to the things we are playing in each lesson. When we learn a chord or a scale I believe you will find it more meaningful if it's in a song you already know. I also like to work on your specific goals. I enjoy working on technique, chord theory, scale application, and much more!
