I am a natural teacher blessed with patience, empathy, understanding and enthusiasm. In fact my day job is teaching! I can help you overcome barriers in playing guitar such as getting a good sound, getting your hands to cooperate, reading music, and learning songs. I have 3 years experience in teaching private lessons, and I actively perform in Sacramento. I received my BA in Music from UC San Diego with an emphasis in Jazz Studies. *** Lesson Details *** I want to make a lesson plan customized to your needs. I am a patient teacher, but I am passionate about music and I hope to inspire you to learn and practice. I can teach a variety of styles such as classical, folk, pop, jazz, and rock. The lessons are a lot of fun for the student and myself. For learning songs I use the source material- the recording. I can write a chord chart for songs that students want to learn.
