Tuba with Tyler W.

Tyler Woodbury has recently completed his bachelor’s degree in Tuba Performance and Music Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A native of Chicopee, Massachusetts, he began studying with Dr. John Bottomley in 10th grade, who has been his primary teacher ever since. Tyler is an active musician in Western MA and beyond, notably playing on tours with the Mount Holyoke Symphony Orchestra and a tour of Ireland with the UMass Wind Ensemble. Recently, he competed as a semifinalist in the Leonard Falcone International Tuba Competition, was picked as a semifinalist in the Tuba Artist Solo and Mock Orchestral Audition categories at NERTEC 2020, and attended the Monteux Music Festival in the summer of 2019.
