I have dedicated over 15 years of my life to dance. I am a native of New York City where I attended Frank Sinatra School of the Arts for high school as a dance major. I have had the wonderful opportunity of attending Dean College in Franklin MA , Marymount Manhattan College in New York NY, and the University of Georgia in Athens GA. From attending these institutions I have successfully learned a comprehensive amount of dance genres, and techniques ranging from Ballet to Aerial dance. I hold an Associate of Arts Degree in Dance from Dean College and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Dance from The University of Georgia. Below is a summary of my dance skills -Confidence teaching large groups of students in a classroom and studio setting. -Experience creating choreography and teaching dance to students from grade school to High school. -Experience setting lights and operating a lighting board for dance performances. -Proficient in music editing for dance. -Proficient in video editing for screen dance. As a dance instructor at P.S.156, I teach 10 dance classes per week to grades K-5th. Students participate in an hour long dance class including warm up ,across the floor material, and learning choreography. For the warm up I use the yoga practice as a tool to channel self awareness, self discipline ,positive energy, enhance muscle strength, flexibility, and range of motion in the students. Students learn a series of asanas throughout their weeks in after school. Students are able to identify asanas by name and the benefits of these asanas. I choreograph and assist students in their technical and expressive skills, and help develop their personal voice in dance. Using the tools of choreography and incorporating students improvisation, student in each grade learn an original work to perform in the programs half Winter and Spring Dance shows.

Hanac After School program

As a dance specialist at P.S.212Q , I worked with the students in K-5th grade, teaching beginner level jazz,ballet,and contemporary dance. There were 8 groups in the program that I taught dance to once a week. I was responsible for choreographing and organizing the end of the year dance show for the students. In addition to being a dance teacher, I was placed with different groups throughout the week to assist with homework and other club specialty classes.

As a dance instructor at East Athens I was an instructor of single class Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Praise,Hip-Hop, and summer fitness camp. I taught levels 1-3 Modern and Ballet classes as well as company Ballet and Modern classes. I choreographed for the Junior and Senior Gifted performing ensemble show in October 2014 and 2015, as well as choreographing work for the 2015 and 2016 EAEDC Annual productions.
