    About Tyler R.

Hi there! My name is Tyler Rodriguez. I currently am a student at Temple University pursuing a degree in Music Therapy. My main instrument is the violin, which I have been playing for 12 years with. I also play piano for 2 1/2 years and specialize with beginning players. I tend to make music lessons fun for everyone and teaching is something I love! I provide proper feedback and ensure growth in students. I have participated in many orchestras from grade school up to university. I participated in a music string camp at Florida State University in 2014. Temple University has another orchestra in which I joined in 2018 called Owlchestra, a community orchestra that performs a concert at the end of term. I greatly enjoy the group and we bond musically and as friends. I am based in classical music training, but I have small exposure to bluegrass, klezmer and jazz. For piano, pop music, jazz, and other genres of music are things that music therapists have to learn, so there’s a great deal of work and ground to cover.
