Hello! My name is Tyler. I am a music teacher in Philadelphia, a graduate of Temple University with a degree in Music Education, and am an eager and passionate tutor. I have been teaching music since 2007 and tutoring various academic subjects since 2009. I play drums, orchestral percussion, hand percussion, Latin percussion, marching percussion (drumline), guitar, piano, winds, and brass. I enjoy studying and teaching science, English, math, history, and much more. I have a student-centered teaching style that focuses on each child's needs and abilities. Each and every lesson is tailored to my student's personality, interests, and aptitude. I believe in instilling a healthy work ethic that pays off with fun rewards and a sense of achievement for kids.
