At the start of my second semester of college, I was hired by University Housing to serve as a resident advisor (RA) for the occupants of Sutter hall. As an RA I have acquired a collection of essential skills needed to be successful in the future. Skills Gained: -Host quarterly community events and meetings. -Actively handle stressful situations involving distraught residents. -Serve as both a leader and a resource within my community space

University Box Office

Near the end of my first semester of college I had the opportunity to work my first part-time job as a member of the University Box Office team, where I learned the basics of working in a professional office setting. Skills Gained: -Learned how to use phones in an office setting. -Learned a variety of softwares used in our workplace. -Learned how to communicate directly with customers.
