Hi! My name is Tristan and I am a current student at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. I am currently learning from the famous horn player, Dale Clevenger, who played in the Chicago Symphony for almost 50 years. I teach mainly Horn, although I am well versed in the fundamentals of high brass playing.I have competed in several solo competitions including the International Horn Society Premier Soloist competition, and I have been praised for my work as a principal horn. I have performed works such as Till Eulenspiegel and Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony, both featuring exceptional horn literature. I have taught my peers for years to help share what I've learned with everyone around me. All of my skill has been through countless hours of hard work to discover what works for me, not from natural talent. This means I know exactly what I've done over the years to progress, so I know exactly how to help a struggling student. I hope to encourage young horn players to discover the amazing world of the horn and help create a passion for achievement that will blossom into true talent in the years to come.
