Many people in the deaf and hard of hearing community are MISUNDERSTANDING the name of our organization, WRAD, Inc

In the past, the name of our organization meant &quot;World Recreation Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing,&quot; which was abbreviated &quot;WRAD.&quot;

The WRAD organization was incorporated in 1985 under all four of the IRS categories for IRC Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit organizations.

WRAD has always had three sections:
Educational, Charitable, and Literary Media and Publications.

HI!  I am a deaf woman with a BA degrees in Graphic Design and learned sign language at CSUN which have a program for the Deaf. I have been using ASL within the Deaf community for 30 years.

I am more than happy to help anyone learn ASL,  a beautiful visual language used by the deaf community. I have helped friends and aquaintances learn ASL.

If you are taking ASL as a foreign language, to help a deaf co-worker, as part of interpreting program or any other reason, I can help you succeed. I can accommodate your goals/needs.
