Acoustic Guitar with Jason T.

My name is Jason Tran and I’ve been obsessed with guitar since 2007. I started out with the big classic influences, such as Metallica, Megadeth, Led Zeppelin, and progressed to explore music of various genres, such as Snarky Puppy (I follow most band members), Plini, Animals as Leaders, CHON, Cory Wong, Moonchild, Funky Knuckles, Mateus Asato, Lari Basilio...etc. I also follow various non-guitar players (vocalists, keyboard players, saxophonists, bassists, drummers...etc) to enrich my playing beyond the traditions of the 6-string guitar. As a result I'm well versed in blues, funk, jazz, fusion, rock, metal, pop. I possess an efficient self-taught approach to learning: using resources online, I taught myself music theory, such as the modes of natural major, harmonic and melodic minor, diminished and augmented scales. I would be a great instructor as I’m naturally in tune with student’s needs, learning styles and comfort level.
