Classical Piano with Travis R.

Originally from Wisconsin, Travis is a local pianist and teacher actively involved in the Santa Monica community. He is currently in his third year as a music aide to JAMS where he works with hundreds of students each year, and is an active accompanist for Solo/Ensemble Festival, Kiwanis Competition, RCM exams, and local recitals. Travis completed his undergrad at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music, where he was hired as a staff pianist his senior year, a position he held for three years. During this time, he began growing his own private studio, with 16 students by the time he moved to Los Angeles, three years ago. He currently has an active private studio, in addition to working at Sound Roads Music on Pico, and Angeles Academy of Music in Westwood, and is the Music Director at First Unitarian Universalist of Los Angeles. Travis is classically trained, but able to play and teach in a wide variety of styles. Students will find lessons productive and engaging, and a teacher with warmth, patience, and a sense of humor.
