Learn to Sing with a Grammy-Award Nominated Vocal Coach

“I was blown away by the things you were saying - and feel as if Amanda learned in that one hour more than she’s learned in a year of voice/piano! I only wish we had known you a year ago! Your enthusiasm, experience and passion are amazing! — Kathy Horrigan, Parent If you are looking to keep the music going during this shutdown, consider online singing lessons! I've taught singing for over a decade and I direct singing groups ranging from elementary, middle, and high school through young adults and senior citizens. Nothing makes me happier than helping a singer become more confident and expressive in their voice. I've been teaching students around the world over video chat for years, and while it's not the same as in-person, there are many advantages. Due to the shutdown, my schedule has opened up considerably and I have many openings for new students. Ease of scheduling and lack of travel are obviously a bonus, but one of the big advantages to online lessons is you get tracks to practice with for all of your exercises and songs, and you get a recording of all lessons to review afterwards. With that video you can see and hear your technique in a new way and grow even faster. Over the span of months and years, you can go back and see your progress and how much you've improved!

Hi! I'm Topher K, a speaker, author, coach, educator, musician, and mentor working to help the young (and young at heart) to build self-confidence and express themselves through vocal music. I also specialize in tutoring math, and have many students that take both singing lessons and math tutoring in combo-lessons! I do some public speaking and acting coaching in addition, both are big areas of passion for me. I run a private studio of passionate singing and acting students in Phoenix, AZ, while offering lessons to students worldwide over video chat. I also performs for churches, schools, and community organizations as a singer, conductor, and speaker. I previously served as the Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education for the Grammy-Award Winning Phoenix Boys Choir, America's top boy's choir. While working with PBC I led choirs, in addition to leading workshops in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Arizona working with hundreds of teachers and over 5000 students. As a result of this work I was a Quarter-finalist for the 2018 and 2019 Grammy Awards for Music Educator of the Year. I am a certified Kodály educator and previously served as President of the Arizona Kodály Teachers Society and served on the National Board of Directors as chair of the Technology Task Force. I have presented at Eastern and Western Division Regional Music Educator Conferences. I received the “Outstanding Emerging Educator Award” from the Organization of American Kodály Educators in 2018. I co-founded ChoirUnlimited: a sheet music and choral resource publisher that provides singable, accessible, beautiful, innovative music by living composers. A single purchase comes with unlimited photocopying, recording, and performance rights. My choral arrangements have been performed by dozens of choirs across the world. I regularly commission and premiere new works. I have a passion for musical theater and lead many productions throughout Arizona. I have been one of the music directors for the top summer program in AZ at the Phoenix Theater, and also directed productions with Act One Youth Theater, Pinnacle Creative Arts, and a variety of other organizations. I have served as the music director for the Phoenix Theater's "Musical Theater Intensive", a 3-week training program for pre-professional musical theater students. I'd love the chance to help you or your child learn to sing, act, speak, or do math more comfortable and confidently.

Topher was a great coach for my child. He always had fun at lessons and his voice got so much better, his confidence also greatly improved. He's started auditioning for musicals at his school and just got his first lead role!

My daughter loves working with Topher, she’s always looking forward to lessons now! She’s had other music teachers in the past who she didn’t like as much, but since switching to Topher she’s started to practice a lot more and always has fun with her lessons.
