Hailed by the New York Times as “fresh” and “sweet-toned,” and described in Opera News as having a “sugar-tipped soprano,” Tonna Miller is recognized for her “flesh and blood” performances and “natural stage presence.” Equally at home in the major opera houses of America and on Broadway, Ms. Miller was has been heard at the Metropolitan Opera as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro and as the fiery Carlotta Giudicelli in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera for her Broadway debut. Ms. Miller has sung with Los Angeles Opera, New York City Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis and many other regional opera companies. Ms. Miller recently made her debut at the renowned cabaret venue 54 Below. Ms. Miller maintains an active voice studio in New York City. Ms. Miller’s students have appeared in operas, Broadway musicals, national tours, New York theaters, regional theaters, conservatories and schools.
