    Experience

    guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukelele player

    Apr, 1986 - May, 2014

    various production companies

I studied guitar in Madrid, Spain, where I lived as a teenager, and studied later in New York with prominent teachers Pat O’Brian and Juan de La Mata. I have worked since 1986 as a theater musician for national and international tours of Broadway musicals. I have played numerous times in all fifty US states and in all provinces of Canada, and spent several years touring throughout Europe and the Far East. My credits include Man of La Mancha, Hello Dolly, Grease, Chorus Line, Fiddler On The Roof, Tommy, 42nd Street, and many more. I have also appeared as an onstage musician in many productions, as well as in the orchestra pit, with rock and roll shows such as BEEHIVE, LEADER OF THE PACK, FOOTLOOSE, and GODSPELL. As a theater musician, I am required to play in almost any style you can think of. I specialize in traditional Irish music, as well as American roots music. I'm an active performer on tenor banjo, mandolin, and fiddle, and have appeared as a headliner at the Fox Hollow Folk Festival near Albany, NY, and at the Norfolk Folk Festival held in Norfolk, Virginia. In addition to doing stage musicals and traditional music, I've also played throughout the eastern U.S. in recitals of chamber music for classical guitar with flute, violin, recorder, cello, and voice with such ensembles as the New Renaissance Chamber Players and the Sterling Consort.
