I have been teaching music since 1975 when I graduated from Bellarmine University with an Associate of Fine Arts degree in music theory and composition. I have played with many artists and bands in the Louisville area and also in New England and the Caribbean . As a professional musician I am well versed in all genres of music and enjoy teaching others the music that they want to play. I have found that most theoretical and technical aspects of music can be learned from many different styles."There are twelve tones and no one owns them" is a saying my music composition teacher would always tell us at college. I encourage my students to explore their interests in music and expand their knowledge of what they want to play. I have had extensive ear training and can notate any song for you. most of all I have fun every day with music and want to share that with my students!
