I have been playing music for over fifteen years and have been teaching professionally for over five. I really enjoy teaching and performing and I have won awards in music composition. I have a BA in Education and have taken numerous music courses in my academic career including Harmony, Musicianship, Composition etc. I have also taught in all cities in South Orange County. I am 25, I live in Laguna Hills, and I have always done well with younger students because I can relate to them better than a lot of teachers from my experience. It's always nice to see the expression on students faces when they learn to play something they listen to and really wanted to learn. It's a skill that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. I specialize in electric and acoustic guitar including rock, pop, and folk music. *** Lesson Details *** Historically, I have approached every student on an individual basis. I usually create a binder with the basic information such as chords and then add songs or any other additional information as needed. I am a very patient person and I love to teach so I always do my best to help students understand. It is important to note that music theory applies to all instruments and while you learn how to play guitar you cannot help but learn basic music theory that applies to all music. The initial instructions consist mainly of basic chords and theory and then onto more songs and theory. *** Studio Equipment *** Bonus Room: round bar table with stools, wrap around couch, chair, parents can sit in on lesson. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide an instrument for the student. Most of the time the student has their own instrument. *** Specialties *** I have been playing guitar for fifteen years and have taught it for over 5 years. I play and have recorded all styles of music including electric and acoustic guitar, mainly rock, pop, and folk.
