I've been teaching private guitar for over 30 years. I am excellent at understanding the individual needs of my students and expediting their goals. My prices my seem high but I will save you money in the long run. if you're a beginner, you will need to dedicate at least 15 min per day. Hello and thank you for taking the time to consider me as your guitar coach. I am a seasoned professional in the North San Diego County music community and have been performing and teaching in Encinitas since 1992. I founded the music education program at Moonlight Music from '92 through 'my 98 then created the Non-profit 501 (c)(3) Encinitas School of Music dedicated to enriching local culture through music education and performance from '98 through '06. from '06 to present I have been teaching privately, performing, recording, writing and continuing to perpetuate local art and music.

I searched for a guitar teacher for my daughter and me for several months before I found Todd. As a vocalist, I wanted to learn a new instrument and someone to teach my daughter not only how to play, read music, and understand the theory behind it, but develop an internal beat and a good ear.  After taking our first lessons, I knew immediately he was the the teacher for us. He not only is an excellent musician with technique in any type of guitar and genre that he picks up, he can convey his knowledge and simplify his lessons in a way that my daughter can understand. She is really interested and learns quickly because of the teaching style he uses.
