Whether you're a beginner or a pro, I can help you improve as a versatile and MUSICAL conductor!

I hold a doctoral (and masters) degree in conducting and a bachelors degree in music education. I am a university professor, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in conducting and music education. I can work with you online, or you can hire me to attend your rehearsals for real-time feedback and masterclass-style instruction. Recently, I won an international conducting competition in Sicily, Italy, and was selected to conduct the US Army Band in Washington, DC. I was featured as a conducting fellow at the 2019 Midwest Clinic and have been awarded grants for conducting opportunities. I have conducted a wide range of ensembles, from large wind bands to pit orchestras for musicals, and everything in between! I have participated in a variety of conducting events including symposia and competitions and can help you prepare for any conducting experience. I was a collegiate drum major and often work with prospective field conductors preparing for auditions and the marching band/drum corps season.

Hello! I've been teaching private lessons for over 15 years. I am Associate Director of Bands at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. I have degrees in music education and conducting, and I was a high school music teacher & band director in the Philadelphia area for 7 years. I also work as a freelance musician. I'm looking forward to making music with you! Your lesson specifics are up to you! If you know what you want to learn, I'll help get you there. If you don't know where to start, I can lead you through the fundamentals and help you set goals. I like to keep things positive in music lessons. Music is, after all, for fun and enjoyment! I like to blend teaching technique and musicianship, while keeping things fun. If you're a beginner, we'll get started with all the fundamentals you need to begin making music. If you've been playing for a while, I'll help you perfect things you've been working on, expand your musical experience, and help you reach your fullest potential as a musician. Online lessons are a wonderful option! I am flexible with scheduling and allow changes up to 24-hours before a scheduled lesson.
