I strongly believe that, if every child would be provided with an ideal environment, would gain extraordinary ability. There are no exceptions. No one can tell how able man is by the nature. What is known is the ability that is spoiled or developed. It cannot be denied that most children speak their native languages beautifully by learning about 3000-4000 words by age 5 or 6. Nothing can clearer demonstrate of the original power of the human mind. Through the years of studying and teaching music I realized that this is the most important concept for developing each kid's talent, to increase his or her ability to the maximum. Therefore I am combining the great methods of teaching violin. The Suzuki method and the Russian school method. Suzuki method helps at the earliest stage of playing an instrument and I am using later Russian school method for more advanced period of studying.

Tigran is a skillful, kind, patient and honest teacher. I’m a beginning adult learner and have been progressing very quickly with his help. Tigran’s teaching is structured and organized while keeping the lessons challenging and interesting enough to want to keep going. I value his time and knowledge. I also intend to continue learning the violin from Tigran for the long term. HIGHLY recommend!+ Read More
Tigran is patient and pays attention to detail. I would highly recommend him.
He pays attention to the details.
Great teacher! I am just beginning and Tigran is being so patient and he makes the lesson fun.
I have a music background, but quit playing violin at some point.
Tigran has helped me to pick up violin after a long hiatus.
He assisted me with establishing my daily practice routine, gave a lot of valuable advice on how to redevelop my technique within the short period of time.
Definitely Tigran is an experienced, supportive and encouraging teacher.
Tigran is clearly the best music teacher I've encountered thus far. He's not only extremely knowledgeable and an experienced music teacher, but also an excellent human being. He goes above and beyond his normal duties to make sure that his students excel in music. He's a very caring and a patient instructor. I strongly recommend Tigran to anyone who's interested in music!+ Read More
Friendly and great with my son! I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress.
A year ago, after a long 40 year or so break, I returned to my violin.
My professional career has nothing to do with music. Learning violin again is a hard work. The physical challenge is there, the ability rapidly to develop muscle tone and memory “sadly just isn’t there anymore.” My right arm is as stiff as a 2x4 stud and left fingers slip. So, lighting dashes over strings will take longer – much longer - to perfect.
But, Tigran reminded me that he has not found any shortcuts and he has been looking for a long time. I resumed very basic finger exercises and routine scales. And the results were very slow but the reward was there.
Tigran is very structured and systematically approaching how to improve the intonation and tonal quality. So, I am happy to leave it up to him to take the lead.
He is the best.
I highly recommend Tigran, he is a great instructor. He is very patient, knowledgeable and encouraging when it comes to teaching and music theory.
Tigran has done a very good job in improving our son's Viola skills in such a short period of time. My son is a member of Orchestra in school and he is now one of the better players in the group. My son also enjoys taking his class with Tigran.
There are a number of beginners and comeback kids attempting to learn the violin without teacher. Honestly, at one point, I really thought I would be one of them. I’m in my mid 50’s and I had violin lessons when I was a kid. I thought I can practice again through internet teachers like YouTube.
I bought a violin made in China in EBay. At the end of 3 months, I still couldn't play anything with any satisfaction, thinking the violin was not good. I was very disappointed with the violin and myself.
But I couldn't let the idea go. Several months later I started searching prospective teachers. Finally, I contacted Tigran and we decided to give an interview, and Tigran has been my teacher ever since.
At my first real lesson, while he was tuning my violin, I noticed the violin made totally different sound. I was so shocked. It was not the violin; it was me who could not pull the sound from the violin. He gave me something incredibly valuable. He taught me how to draw the bow across the strings without making that horrible scratchy sound that I could not get rid of. It was magical. Maybe that's not a big deal to anyone else, but it was huge for me.
Over the past month, he has given me so many valuable lessons - how to hold the bow, how to practice each challenging skill, tone, timing, what is the best order to learn a piece, how the arm, the wrist, and the elbow should move, and so much more.
I couldn't get those things from a book. Certainly there are books out there that cover it, but I needed timely and simple correction in terms that made sense to me. The speed at which things are absorbed increased exponentially with his guidance.
The best part is, when something isn't right, he knows exactly why. It's almost as if he sits in my practice room with me all week because he nails it every time. Moreover, he knows more than one approach to helping me understand how to fix it.
Everyone can learn, but not everyone can teach. Not only is Tigran a good violinist, he is a great instructor. I know I am often frustrated, but it is never because he doesn't give me what I need to succeed. It's because I don't have enough time to devote to applying the principals he taught.
So here's to all the fantastic violin teachers out there. Even if you don't hear us say thank you often enough, know that you are making a difference in someone's life. And to Tigran, if you ever read this - Thanks!
Tigran was so patient and my little girl sounded much better after one lesson!
He is a very talented teacher.
He is very patient and works very well with my son. If my son's attention starts to lapse, he will stop and play a quick game like clap, clap name your favorite animal, then go back to the lesson. My son ins 4 1/2 and he is doing very well!
My son has been learning violin with Mr. Tigran since last 8 months. He started with very basic 8 months ago and last week his middle school won 12 trophies and he was at the center of the performance. Thanks to Mr. Tigran. Mr. Tigran has the ability to come to student level and bring a change. He is soft, polite and professional. My son is fully involved in violin now and looking towards next level. I am very pleased with his performance and looking forward that one day he will be playing like Mr. Tigran. During the last 8 months there were some occasions where my son was not able to meet the schedule appointment and Mr. Tigran was very accommodating with these situations. Mr. Tigran has the ability to relate music with daily life examples so kids can understand it better. A good communication is extremely important for a teacher and he posses this skill and knows how to apply it. I can see my son will grow very well with his music in future.+ Read More
Unfortunately we were very disappointed with Tigran as a violin teacher. Clearly, Tigran plays instrument very well and capable of passing his knowledge, yet he is not passionate about teaching and not motivational for young kids. It appears that he is more concerned about making sure that he will receive a credit for growing a talent than performing actual day-to-day instructional work. Despite multiple requests, we, parents, couldn't convince Tigran to start making written lesson notes, to ensure addressing all his comments during homework. Also, in our opinion, Tigran's studio doesn't have adequate lighting which forced us to bring our own light for every lesson. Surprisingly, Tigran hasn't even made any attempts to address the issue from his end. Tigran's approach to teaching is rather formal with lack of personal touch and this is very sad to acknowledge. We felt that Tigran failed to establish good personal connection with student.
Last thing you want to hire violin teacher, who would invariably respond to your "How are you?" with "I am so tired"...
I really have loved taking lessons with Tigran N. I just began this year with him after completing a masters in music from a private college. I have learned so much already. I leave each lesson wanting to work harder and the best part is that he gives me great tips on exactly HOW to practice so I can get the most out of my practice time. It's been a great experience and I am so thankful for the way he challenges me and gives helpful criticism so that I can become a better violinist.+ Read More
Our son is taking violin lessons from Tigran. We absolutely love him. Tigran comes to our home every week and we have complete trust in him. He is extremely kind and patient and has an amazing teaching style. Our son has only had about 7 months of lessons and each month he has tremendous growth. He is 18 years old and has never had a violin lesson until now. He practices without us having to tell him and he looks forward each week to his lessons with Tigran----That speaks volumes about Tigran as a teacher. We highly recommend him as a teacher and a friend.+ Read More
My 11 yr old son has been playing violin for a while with the same teacher, and we decided to change teachers to learn other techniques and to pique his interest. We have been with Tigran for almost two months now and there has been a significant
improvement with my son's playing. He seem to acquire back his enthusiasm and passion for playing. He plays with our community Youth Orchestra on the 1st violin
and sits on the 4th chair before starting with Tigran, now he was advanced to the 2nd chair. We are grateful to Tigran for his patience and time. He is very accommodating with his schedule and goes out of his way in teaching my son, on top of it all he is very professional. We would highly recommend him as a great violin teacher.
My 5 year old has been taking violin lessons from Tigran for the past 6 months and she has been thriving and learning faster than we expected. He is exceptionally patient with her and adapts to her aptitude level. We love what she's been able to learn in such a short amount of time thanks to Tigran.+ Read More
Tigran has been my piano teacher for several months now. I am learning faster than I ever thought I could, and he has always had the right wisdom for me at each step of the process to help me move forward. He is knowledgeable and patient; he is honest about where you need to improve but is always kind. If you are considering getting piano lessons (or any of the other instruments he teaches), I strongly recommend him.+ Read More
A wonderful teacher
"Teacher Tigran", as my 5-hr-old granddaughter calls him, is really a wonderful teacher and a kind person. He really has a way with understanding the student. My granddaughter thrives in his instruction. I highly recommend him.
Tigran is an excellent instructor.
Tigran has been an excellent instructor to my 16 year old daughter. She started with him last year and has improved tremendously. He has been kind and professional even though the lessons are in my house and I have a 2 and 4 year old continually trying to interrupt. Instead of being frustrated he has been patient and loving towards them and my entire family. We are so blessed to have him as a teacher in our home. Thank you so much.
Tigran is fantastic instructor
I have learn so much from Tigran, he is patient and really helps fine tune techniques. I would recommend him for any level of experience and for any age.
Tigran is a great teacher!
Tigran has been my violin teacher for almost 4 months. Tigran impressed me with his excellent violin skills. I always feel it's my honor to have such a high-level violinist as my teacher. The same piece of music sounds a world of difference when he plays it. Besides, he is a teacher with integrity. He doesn't choose the easy way of pleasing me with compliments, but instead he points out the source of my problems and wants me to work on them. He also taught me unique effective ways how to improve my violin skills. As a Chinese saying says: "good (Chinese) medicines taste bitter". In order to improve my violin skills, Tigran has the courage and integrity to prescribe the bitter medicine that I need rather than to give me useless placebo. Now I start to feel the joy of playing better. And there is so much more progress to look forward to with Tigran as my teacher! Tigran is the right teacher for serious students.
Tigran is a great teacher!
Tigran is a great teacher! I'm impressed by his high level of skills. The same song sounds so beautiful when he plays it. He immediately knew where my problems are and explained very clearly about how I should improve my skills. I'd like to commit myself to learning from such a great teacher. And I'm excited about my future lessons with him. Thank you for teaching me!
My daughter has taken lessons for three months. She had prioviouly lost her interest in lessons so we tried Tigan as a last ditch effort to have her continue. After two lessons begun to partice with out prompting. She describes Tigan as a kind soft spoken instructor who is positive and uses his creativity to make lessons enjoyable yet challenging.
Tigran is a really good teacher, he helps me began to play the piano like a pianist. Full of emotion to express the music.
Tigran inspires our son
Our son actually looks forward to his viola lesson because of Tigran. He is professional, patient, and motivating.
I thinkTigran is a very professional man and knows his music. He was wonderful the few weeks he taught my daughter.
I had my first lesson and am very pleased. Tigran was very patient and explains things very well. Thanks! Robbie Y
