As a performer I have worked as a professional singer, actor, musician, and dancer. I have always had a passion for teaching, directing, and composing. Tiffini is a wonderful instructor. My 12 year old daughter was apprehensive about taking lessons, especially online, but Tiffini puts her at ease. She explains things well and is understandable and very nice. I highly recommend her.

Tiffini is an exceptional teacher and makes learning piano really enjoyable for our 14 year old daughter. We are amazed how far our daughter has come in such a short time, this is thanks to Tiffini's teaching methods and patience. Would highly recommend her for lessons.

I was having trouble finding an appropriate song for an audition and Tiffini used her expertise to help guide me toward a few appropriate selections. We worked on each song and now I have some solid additions to my audition repertoire. Thank you Tiffini! I really enjoy working with you and appreciate all your knowledge and creative input in developing my vocal style and range. When I auditioned, I got the part! I would definitely recommend Tiffini for lessons.

I'm a fellow instructor in Tiffini's studio and I have heard her help many students grown in their abilities throughout the time I have worked with her. I have also sung in a choir that she helped to run sectionals and choreograph songs. She is a well-experienced teacher and is great about changing her mindset to do things backwards to help be a mirror for the learners! She is also timely and professional which are important attributes to a good teacher.

Having never taken piano lessons, when I retired I decided do so. When I signed up to take lessons, I was lucky enough to get Tiffini. Learning an instrument as a "senior" is difficult, and Tiffani has been very patient and encouraging. She's fun to work with and is very knowledgeable about music theory and the learning process. She'd terrific and I recommend her highly Sheila Little

I've never expected that I could sing like this at my age until I met Tiffini. She gives me very specific feedback each time and my singing skills improved so much. Online lesson is very convenient to accommodate in my busy work schedule. I really love Tiffini's lesson and look forward to working more with her.

I couldn't have asked for a better instructor because I was primarily looking for patience. I have a long time fear of singing and singing in front of people, Tiffini is very patient and easy to work with.

Speaking Voice · Online

I would like to start off with by saying that Tiffini is an amazing teacher. I have been taking lessons with her for the last year and a half through Skype and each lesson in that time with her has been an enjoyable experience. I started taking speaking voice lessons with her then switched to singing lessons. She was able to help me immensely on both my speaking voice and singing; getting rid of my mumbling for former and helping me to regain confidence in the latter. With both types of lessons she was knowledgeable, encouraging, kind, patient, and a fun teacher to have. I could go on for at least a few pages about Tiffini, but bottom line is that she is a great teacher and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wanted to start taking lessons through takelessons.com.

Tiffini is an awesome teacher! We originally met when I performed in a series of youth theater productions that she directed and I began taking voice lessons from her soon after. Tiffini truly cares about her students. She has greatly enhanced my confidence auditioning by helping me select appropriate songs, working patiently on difficult sections of the piece, and providing clear acting support. She also teaches online and is very accessible via email and Skype. She has been an invaluable resource and I'm very grateful to have worked with her.

so enjoyable

I have taken the lesson twice a month, but now changed almost weekly. I am working full time and often go business trip. Skype is such a great way to manage my time. My teacher is taking a note during the lesson and she can always share with me. For an adult student, such notes are very useful to improve singing skills.

Well thought out.

She taught my young daughter to format and write songs that were just ideas when we started .She showed guidance and technical expertice along with a big dose of patience . She is a very in-tuned professinal. My daughter continues on her path in entertainment with a broader understanding of it because of her . If a student wants to learn the right way to go about songwriting, then she will not disappoint .

Adapts Well to Student Needs and Interests

Tiffiny has a wonderful mix of encouragement, creativity and insight. She is very good at discovering student interests and incorporating them into the class setting. She is also a cornucopia in terms of skils and techniques. Tiffiny is patient and flexible in terms of student's ability to progress. I could go on for pages. She is wonderful, especially considering she was my introduction to the world of voice. Thank you!

attentive to detail; corrects your vocalization errors

I'm someone who dreaded the vocalist roIe in Guitar Hero and Rockband. I had no singing experience, and and my musical exposure consists of (failing at) the dubious recorder lessons that middle school kids were forced into. I was with Tiffini from summer 2011 to summer 2012 and, at one lesson each week and 1-2 hours of practice a day, extended my range to 3 octaves (2.5 if not fully warmed up).

The first few weeks were focused on handling the warm-ups. She gives each student a CD containing 12 tracks that work on pronunciation, forward resonance, extending the chest voice, preventing the tongue from going too far back, and others for which I do not know the mechanics of. She goes over square breathing (breathing for X duration, holding for X duration, and exhaling for X duration; goal to increase X) but I stopped focusing on that after week 8 (which probably explains why I sometimes run out of breath when not careful). We also worked on reading chords, but we eventually stopped. I didn't feel like we had enough time.

My first 3-4 sessions were spent mastering warm-ups. After familiarizing myself to warm-ups, our sessions became
15 minutes of warm-ups, 10 minutes of singing, and 5 minutes on questions/greetings. The breakdown eventually became 10-15-5 as we sped up the speed of each warm-up exercise.

Tiffini allows you to work on any song, but I recommend that you give her a selection and have her choose one that best fits your skill and goals. If she doesn't have the song, she'll supply the song, its no-voice version, and it's chord-lyric sheet for you at cost rounded to nearest next dollar. We worked on my head voice the first maybe 5 months, expanding my chest range for the next 3ish, and switched to my lower chest the last
2.

While singing your song or warm-up, she'll hit piano keys to guide you along if you're having trouble. She'll also
sing along if you're going too slow or fast (of which I was constantly guilty of). She notified me when I put
too much pressure on my throat, slid my jaw, made my jaw rigid, or made pronunciation errors. When she tells
you about raising the soft palette, really do work on that! The action helps tremendously.

I still need work on my entire range (especially how I sound like Kevin from The Office
with my lowest notes), but I've definitely improved and have better control and sound (especially
the upper notes) than my friends. I full heartily recommend Tiffini.

p.s. she has 2 doggies.
