I started the violin when I was 8 years old at my hometown elementary school. I grew up in a very artsy town, which provided me the opportunities to learn music from around the world. These are a few reason why I love to collaborate with other musicians, create youtube videos, play different genres and mixes of various genres, writing my own pieces, traveling, and teaching others the love of music. As I live in the Washington D.C. Metro area, scheduling/travel is flexible for me and easy to coordinate around my students' schedules. If there is a preferred lesson for your child not listed as "available" please feel free to inquire directly - we will find a time that works! Violin students can expect to improve week to week in their technique. Every student learns uniquely; I teach students mindfulness and correct instrument techniques, and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to play with freedom, confidence, and expression. I teach beginner piano students of all different ages. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student. My passion is music and I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style when learning an instrument. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
