If you want an in depth program which I recommend or if you are a person who wants to learn a few songs that's ok. If you are a newbie there are basics you need: hand position, tuning the banjo and learning a few basic rolls and simple chords. I can teach you Scruggs style, Don Reno style, Bill Keith Melodic Style, Pat Cloud Jazz style or other areas one wants to pursue. I don't like to teach 1/2 hr lessons as it seems to short a time for a good lesson. If you insist I can do a 1/2hr lesson. I hate to add this, so many people will not practice and they lose interest quickly. I took lessons with Bill Keith every week and he told me if I didn't practice he would know it and cut me back to bi-weekly lessons and if I persisted with no practice he would fire me. He said I don't want to waste my time nor your father's money. It is worth the time to practice even though you can't see the point but suddenly you will reach a plateau where you sound great. By the way I never missed a lesson. Tom
