Hi! My name is Tom, and I started playing the guitar, and singing in 1996. I've been very lucky in my musical pursuits. I've studied Classical guitar technique with Fred Benedetti, and the world renowned Celino Romero, and I've also gotten to know big stars in the Heavy Metal world such as Kerry King, and Alex Webster. The most amazing thing that I have discovered, is that this immaculate Classical guitar technique handed down through the Romero family can be applied to any style of guitar or bass playing. I will teach you these masterful techniques! Since 2005 I have given over 15,000 guitar lessons. You will learn how to play the Guitar easier, faster, and more expressively. I can teach you to approach the instrument the way that works. It really can be easy to play the Guitar, if you just know how to approach it! It will of course take lots of practice, but if your hands are moving correctly from the beginning, that practice will be much more enjoyable. I specialize in Spanish Classical guitar from beginners to advanced, but I also have experience playing and teaching Rock, Jazz, Flamenco, Blues, Reggae, and audio production. I also teach Voice lessons, and Bass guitar. I have also been producing and recording music since 1999. I've ran a few studios and can teach you how record/produce music or make beats as well! *** Lesson Details *** I will work with you to discover what will be the best approach for your particular style and goals. Everyone learns different and excels at different things. I have supplemental materials that I can give you for study, but I will also recommend books, CDs, or DVDs that will assist you. If you have sheet music or tabs for a song that you wish to learn I will teach it to you! If you don't have these materials I will help you to find them, and I will also help you to learn the proper techniques to play them well. If it is your goal to learn how to read music, play more expressive chords, improvise, learn music theory, or write songs I look forward to helping you! *** Studio Equipment *** Apple iMac, Ableton live, electric and acoustic guitars, equalizers, compressors, microphones, studio monitors, effects processors, and preamps. *** Travel Equipment *** I provide my own instruments and supplemental music, but students should also have their own instruments and method or song books. *** Specialties *** Spanish Classical guitar, The Romero technique.
