Saxophone with Thomas F.

I'm a saxophonist, composer, and arranger with a Bachelor's of music in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California. I'm also a flautist, clarinetist, and pianist with experience performing in anything from pit orchestras for musicals, electronic pop bands, to Disneyland! My students can expect to see a great amount of improvement in tone production, embouchure, sight reading, and overall musicality. I usually assess how to teach each student individually based on what genre or kind of music they want to learn! If a student loves a certain recording by any artist, we will listen to it and work through how to learn it and perform it together while laying a solid foundation for great technique. I've been a saxophonist for more than 10 years and been taught through a combination of formal education at USC, private lessons, and performing experience. I have taken lessons with world renowned saxophonists such as Bob Mintzer and Bob Sheppard. I know what it's like to be a student and in my years of teaching experience I have taught students of every level. I hope to share my love of music with you!
