Violin with Therese D.

Therese is a professional violinist originally from New Jersey. She received her bachelor's degree in music performance from The College of New Jersey, and is completing her master's in music performance at The Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University, where she is concertmaster of the Dana Symphony Orchestra. She has been studying classical violin repertoire for 20 years, but also enjoys playing contemporary music from various genres. She is an active chamber musician and currently plays in a string quartet and trio. While her training is in the classical tradition, she enjoys working with students who want to learn how to play music from other genres as well. Therese has experience working with students of all levels of ability, including students with developmental disabilities. She has been teaching privately for 10 years, including one-on-one lessons, group lessons, and chamber group coaching.
