I have experience in tutoring as I was a peer tutor in high school. Of those I tutored, many told me I explain math well, so here I am to share my skills! I am a 2018 graduate of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and 2023 graduate from the University of South Florida. I began tutoring in a program called EIP (PROMISE Early Involvement Program) where each Saturday I tutored 9th graders in different subjects including math. Later, I was a tutor for a residential 3 week program there known as EXCEL, where I tutored math and other subjects as well. I fell in love with tutoring and have been doing it since!

My son was engaged and learned. She was able to focus in on the area that he needed help very quickly. She was patient, encouraging, and my son was able to understand.

This is my first time giving my 2nd grade sons a math tutor. She gave him a challenge and helped him work through it. He was able to complete his homework. Our lesson was 30 mins in the evening after school. He said he enjoyed the lesson and felt that he did understand the lesson better which he was working on place values !
