I have a BA in Philosophy and Violin Performance , 1993, from the University of Northern Colorado and University of Colorado at Denver. I teach in the traditional method and I’m classically trained but I also play and teach in a variety of styles. I began playing the violin when I was nine and I'm very glad I did as it has led to much fulfillment and accomplishment for me. *** Lesson Details *** You can expect to get a good foundation in playing the violin from me and have the experience of really enjoying playing. I use a few standard methods which help beginner and more advanced students learn to play and master technique, which is important, and so is enjoying playing music you love! *** Studio Equipment *** Kolacny studios has semi-sound proof private rooms for lessons. Music stands included. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide stands and music. I prefer if they provide their stands,music, rosin and instrument though. *** Specialties *** I specialize in classical violin and have a little Irish fiddle experience. I also played viola classically for several years.
