    About Teresa Y.

A musician since age 4, Teresa's dad took her early passion for music seriously. So she respects the power that parents have to foster their children's musical lives! She notes the many stories she has heard over the years: "If someone had just supported my interest"... "If my teacher had listened to what I wanted to learn." These stories and her own passion for music-making inform her approach. A degreed music educator and multi-instrumentalist, she celebrates and uses the musical interests of her students to move them forward. She has three grown sons, including two touring musicians. Their musical lives also influence her work with children, young people, and adults. The point is to celebrate and develop each student's unique, interest-based musical self-expression. Whether online or in her home teaching studio* in the Sherwood Forest area of Los Angeles, 30 minutes is the perfect lesson time for many purposes, especially for young beginners. Options include piano, voice, beginning ukulele, music reading, music theory, and preparation for auditions. *COVID policies for in-person lessons include masking required for student and teacher, with only the student coming in. Parents are invited to attend the first lesson with their child.

My daughter enjoyed taking lessons with Coach Teresa very much. Teresa is very professional, friendly with a lot of experience in all things music and vocal coaching. She is very patient with her students with attention to their specific learning needs and paths. Teresa is also excellent at keeping her eyes on the individual objectives and thrives to help her students achieve their goals. As a parent, I also enjoyed interacting with Coach Teresa. I think it is wonderful to have someone like her who is a great support for both the student and the parent :) Thank you Teresa for your guidance, and for your time with us.

Teresa has an amazing energy about her, and this is displayed during her life coaching. She is patient and very organized. She holds you accountable but doesn't add stress. 4 sessions into our journey, I have a great respect for our time together and think it will lead to a great success. I would suggest investing in nothing less than 45 minute sessions and yes this is an investment. I also suggest being transparent with Teresa and coming up with a goal for number of sessions. I have nothing but positives to say about her and I am very envious of her skills and her deep commitment to life changing work. If you are a Gen Z, don't quiet quit or do one of those trendy/woke ways of going through your professional life without giving a sh*t. That is so lame, instead book some sessions with a great life coach and find a way to make and live an impactful professional and personal life. (please excuse any grammatical or spelling errors, I am utilizing my iphone 7) very tiny!

Teresa has been such a fun and patient singing teacher for my 9 year old daughter! My daughter is already more confident in her singing in just a few lessons!
