    About Temo A.

Temo is a new face in the Sacramento music scene. He works as a triple threat musician- a vocalist, an educator, and an arranger of jazz and pop music. Temo received his degree in Jazz Studies from California State University Sacramento. In the future, he will be reaching for a Master's Degree in vocal pedagogy with an emphasis in contemporary commercial music. From humble beginnings, Temo started his passion for music in high school and middle school, starting as a double bass player for the school’s orchestra and jazz bands. In between school days, Temo also took piano lessons. After graduating, Temo began to study classical singing and choral music under the direction of Dr. Richard Chagnon at San Diego Mesa College. Following his time in community college, he moved on to study jazz as a soloist and as a member of the three jazz choirs at CSUS under the direction of Gaw Vang Williams. In the vocal jazz group, C-Sus Voices, Temo had the privilege of attending the Next Generation Jazz Festival. The group’s victory at Next Generation then took them to the Monterey Jazz Festival. With a budding teaching studio and a slew of performances across California, Temo is one of the most eclectic and unique voices on the music scene today.

Taking lessons with Temo for ear training was amazing!! He helped me understand how to hear things, as well as teaching me how to sing and write down what I hear. He gave helpful advice on many things such as singing technique, dictation, and interval recognition. Temo has been well prepared for every lesson and knows various teaching methods to help. I'm very grateful to be taking lessons from a wonderful teacher

Temo is a great teacher. I realled enjoyed training my ear with him. His teaching helped my singing and my intonation on my violin. Temo is also a very personable and professional person. I highly recommend him.
