I've been teaching drums since 2004. I currently teach ages 5-65 the fundamentals of rhythm, counting, technique and reading, as well as ear development with pulse and improvisation. My approach is very tailored, but geared towards danceable rhythms that are first accessible, and then gradually more technical. I can teach all styles including rock, funk, and jazz brushwork, and I specialize in Afro-Brazilian and Middle Eastern rhythms.

I'm dedicated to helping you or your child learn how to make people dance by drumming! Learning rhythm strengthens listening and analytical skills, basic math and coordination, and as skills improve, rhythm provides an undeniable source of confidence to draw from.
