Creative Action

As a Part-Time Teaching Artist for after school programs, I teach Monday to Friday at various schools throughout Austin to teach the arts to students between grades K-5, and enrich their knowledge of the various arts ranging from dance, to visual art, to music, to theater. In addition, I must construct and write thorough lesson plans and unit plans consistently throughout the month and report them to my Team Lead. I am responsible for monitoring and teaching 18 students at a time while facilitating the school's rules, expectations, and safety guidelines. For this job I have earned a CPR certification as well as become a licensed abuse reporter.

As a front of house hostess, my main responsibilities lie in greeting and assisting customers in seating, reservations and general inquiries about the restaurant as well as the purchasing of products. In addition, I serve as a seater, greeter, and assigner, resolving the layout issues of the restaurant and overall running the flow of the restaurant each day, using the aid of our iPads to navigate through the digital layout of the restaurant. On busier weekends, I work in a team of three, and serve as the leader of the group.

Barista and Cashier responsible for creating perfected hand-crafted beverages, handling cash, cleaning and maintaining the facility and all products and utensils, responsible for assisting customers in transactions, purchases and informing the customers on promotions, deals and new items. Also responsible for updating member cards, checking balances and statuses of membership cards, and applying such discounts and memberships towards purchases. Must prepare fresh ingredients daily and nightly. As a professional artist, I also create the advertising boards for new products throughout the store.
