Hi, I'm Taylor! I am graduating from the Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Interactive Media & Entertainment and a Minor in History. As an elementary and middle school student, I found that sometimes I needed a little help understanding material in class. Due to tutoring, I am now a successful college student with a 3.75+ GPA and worked as a researcher for the History Colorado Museum. I have nearly 2 years of tutoring experience in history, music, theatre, and english as well as 1.5 years of experience teaching after school theatre enrichment courses. My past students' ages range from 7 to 75, so I can work with almost any demographic.
Each student gets their own lesson plan. Education is not "one size fits all" and some students have particular needs or struggles. Lesson plans are constructed using the most recent and up-to-date information; I also make sure to include time to help student's with their school work if needed. I also love to include subjects that students may enjoy or have specific interest in.
I love tutoring because it gives me a chance to give back to my community and the future generations who will eventually take my place. The twinkle that students get in their eye when they find a subject they are passionate about is why I teach.
I want the tutoring process to be as comfortable and beneficial as possible. If students or parents would like to suggest any resources, they are welcome. I am easy to reach and try to respond as soon as possible to any questions or concerns. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.

I grade projects for their historical quality, clarity, and overall relationship to the annual theme during the preliminary, semi-final, or final rounds of the state competition. I work with several other volunteer judges with varying educational and professional backgrounds who share a passion for great research and primary education.
• Managed the overarching editorial process and workflow by writing/editing 20+ broadcast scripts for the “Unique 2 Colorado” segment which aired on KWGN Channel 2 News to increase awareness of Colorado’s rich archeological past.
• Joined forces with museum curators to select archived photos and artifacts to demonstrate the theme being presented during broadcasts and visually displayed on the KWGN website.
• Adapted source materials to compose and edit article copy and create compelling cover headlines and messaging to align with the intended goal of the project.
