Originally from the upstate of South Carolina, hornist Taylor began his artistic career at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. In 2015, he received his BM from The Juilliard School where he worked with renowned conductors such as Alan Gilbert, Fabio Luisi, Semyon Bychkov, and was a horn student of Erik Ralske, Principal Horn of the Metropolitan Opera. In 2013, he was part of the New York String Orchestra Seminar at Carnegie Hall. Upon finishing his undergraduate, Mr. P furthered his horn career at Northwestern University where he received his MM in 2017 under the pedagogy of Gail Williams, former Associate Principal of Chicago Symphony. In 2016, Mr. P was a Finalist for the US Air Force Band and is presently an Associate Horn of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. During his time in Chicago, Mr. P was a teacher of the British International School of Chicago where he taught high school students and currently teaches students of all ages in NYC.
