Music is a world within itself, your instrument a microcosm of that world which you create. There are no rules, no limits except the ones you put on yourself. This idea means volumes to me and the ability to pass on this feeling to someone else is beyond success to me. I love to teach and am willing to go wherever the student wants to go and give them the necessary tools in order to build the world they want to create. I have been playing for almost 12 years and have a lot to share that I've learned over that time. I teach blues, rock, pop, jazz, funk, R&B, and classical styles as well as improvisation the the necessary music theory and ear training to go along with it. I can also teach elements of songwriting if the student wishes to song write. I have helped students with their auditions into various music schools and programs all of which they have been accepted into, some even receiving scholarship. I have also tutored students from freshman in college to juniors in college in music theory and ear training. I have played with various jazz bands and combos as well has pop and jam bands around the Radford Virginia area. I cannot wait to meet the student and take their playing and musicianship to new heights!
