Hi! My name is Taylor. I’m a New Jersey native and have taught in the area for the last 8 years. I studied drums & percussion at both the Ithaca College School of Music and The Cleveland Institute of Music. I’ve taught privately, as well as in the public school systems of Cleveland, New York City, and New Jersey. I am comfortable teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. All ages welcome. Lessons are catered to the needs/goals of each student. Based on a creative approach to curriculum building, and focused on easy application, you will build a strong foundation of technique, note reading, music theory, and more. Let’s get started! My goal as an educator is to first develop an understanding with the student of why we are learning drums. Once that is established, we will then develop a set of goals, both short and long term. These goals are student-centered based on their own ideas and wishes. We will then design and implement a custom curriculum to ensure the student’s overall success and growth as not only a drummer but a musician. I look forward to meeting you!
