My name is Taylor Miranda and I am songwriter and passionate music teacher. I studied commercial music and writing at Brigham Young University. My songwriting work involves writing custom music (soundtracks, commercials, video games), and I apply the same customization to my teaching as I do my professional music writing. What to expect in Songwriting Lessons: -Learn basics of song structure (Verse, Chorus, Bridge) -Learn techniques for generating ideas -Lessons on rhyming, lyrics, rhythm, chord progressions and more. -Analyze songs in styles that interest you for inspiration -Weekly writing assignments tailored to what makes sense for the individual student. Requirements: *Must be at least 10 years old to begin lessons. *No need to play an instrument (though, that’s always a plus) *Need a notebook specifically for song ideas What to expect in beginning Guitar Lessons: -Learn basic chords to play all of your favorite songs. -Practice progressions with chords that typically go together. -Learn simple strum patterns that work with common time signatures. -Learn and practice songs that interest you. Requirements: *Music be at least 8 years old to begin lessons. *Must have a guitar to use during lessons.
