I like to think of teaching as an opportunity to invest in someone or something beyond myself. My goal is to keep the lessons fun, encouraging but also challenging students to greater levels!

  So far my teaching experience has been with 8-12 olds with limited to no music knowledge and have enjoyed every minute of it! 

  My approach to teaching includes the ever popular Suzuki Method but I also love incorporating other resources such as fiddle tunes, folk songs and hymns. Let me know what you're interested in and I'll do my best to help you learn it!

  I am by no means a professional compared to some but hope I can pass along what I already know (as well as my love of music) to my students.

Hi, there! My name is Tamra and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2018 and have loved helping my students begin learning a new language, the violin, and basics of music.
 I was homeschooled my whole life (and am very proud of it) and completed a High School equivalent GED course. I took violin lessons for 4 years, taught myself piano and voice.
  I love languages, and music and am looking forward to sharing what I know with you!
