Hi families! A bit of information about myself: I have been tutoring for over ten years and am very familiar with the public and private school systems in Manhattan. I teach everything from Algebra II to American History, specializing in organizational and study skills. I am a Columbia University graduate. Graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a 3.97 GPA. I currently tutor and also run a music education non-profit called Nvak Foundation. I am meticulous, patient, and caring. I invest 100% of my energy in making sure that the kids that I take on are getting the individualized attention they need and that they are becoming more independent and more confident each session. Please feel free to contact me via the site to let me know specifically what your child's needs are. Warmly, Tamar

Tamar is a wonderful, dynamic and enthousiastic teacher and my 12 year old daughter had a great time with her. Tamar knows when to slow down if her student is tired, but is also demanding so as to be sure that progress are made. It was a pleasure seeing how fast my daughter improved her English and we both appreciated meeting Tamar, who is a great person :)
