I am a professional musical theatre performer, voice and acting teacher. Graduate of a top Musical Theatre college program, expert audition and repertoire coach. Lessons are tailored according to the goals and needs of each student. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. About Sydney H.
Sydney is a professional vocalist and actor living and working in NYC. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music, and trained in the Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) at the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Fredericia, Denmark. She has performed and worked alongside Broadway actors, directors and composers, including John Caird (Director: Les Miserables), Paul Gordon (Composer: Jane Eyre, Daddy Long Legs), and Steve Margoshes (Composer: Fame). Sydney has also performed in masterclasses with prominent casting directors, agents and industry professionals. She is proficient in musical theatre, pop/rock, folk, and classical/legit vocal techniques, as well as connecting technique to emotional truth and storytelling.
Originally from Rochester NY, Sydney began singing before she could walk, and hasn't stopped for a moment since. She has received over ten years of formal training, and is comfortable singing in almost any style. She has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, and worked as an actor in regional theatres such as Great Lakes Theatre, Cleveland Musical Theatre, and the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre. She is so happy to be using her experience and skills to help artists reach their full potentials!
She specializes in techniques for musical theatre and pop/rock belt, audition and repertoire coaching, and helping hesitant singers find the courage and confidence to reach their full potentials.
