I graduated from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music with a B.A. in Oboe Performance under Jonathan Davis. By alternating between principal positions and section positions in the UCLA Philharmonia, UCLA Symphony Orchestra, UCLA Wind Ensemble, and the CalTech Wind Ensemble, I have gained experience in both leadership roles in an orchestra as well as supporting roles. In addition to large ensembles, I have extensive chamber music experience performing with the UCLA Flux contemporary music ensemble under Grammy Award-winning Gloria Cheng and the UCLA Woodwind Chamber Ensembles.

During my career, I have taken lessons and master classes with Elaine Douvas, principal oboe of The Metropolitan Opera in New York, Dan Stolper, oboe faculty at the Interlochen Arts Academy, Robert Morgan, Scott Hostetler, and Michael Henoch of Northwestern University and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Jessica Pearlman, principal oboe of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra.

I have performed in well-known venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Royce Hall, Segerstrom Center, and the Broad Stage and have performed for John Adams, the acclaimed composer and Artistic Director of the LA Philharmonic, and Kenny Burrell, the respected jazz guitarist. In addition to performing in symphonic concerts, I also have performed alongside the Anaheim Ballet and in opera pit orchestras.

As a specialist in classical music performance, I would love to collaborate with you on your musical path whether you may be a beginner or an advanced oboist!
