Broadway Singing with Swara S.

Hello! I am Swara! I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music, with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy. I have been singing since the age 3. I have been told that even before I could speak, I could sing. I have been exposed to various kinds of music. I started with some basics of Carnatic music, then I moved to learning Hindustani music. After moving to Shanghai, I got exposed to Bollywood and Contemporary styles of music. I first studied Foundation of Music in KM Music Conservatory, owned by the Oscar winner Music director A.R Rahman. I had learnt Hindustani and Western Classical music. After finishing that, I moved to Kuala Lumpur to study Berklee Transfer Programme at the International College of Music (ICOM), where I primarily learnt Contemporary music. Then I finally moved to Boston to study at my dream place, Berklee College of Music. I got exposed to various kinds of styles and genres. I have been a member of the Berklee Indian Ensemble and "The Lotus Sound", a circle singing group. Being a Music Therapy major, I have worked with clients on their goals and needs. My mother was a Carnatic music teacher. I have assisted her many times. I hope to make a difference in my students' life.
